All organizations are under pressure to drive business innovation in order to respond to changes in the competitive landscape and meet evolving customer expectations. This fuels and accelerates the trend toward digitalization, where more resources and interactions take place online. As a result, stronger yet more flexible access to information sources online is required.

The analysis of the survey results indicates that organizations are trying to meet the demand for providing more information online. However, their ability to manage this access is being stretched to the limit.

42% cannot keep up with the speed of changes or lack broad enough control mechanisms to properly secure information
40% believe the process of granting access is cumbersome
54% believe that IoT is the most significant trend influencing IAM
