Our role modeling expert Karl-Heinz Huber in his element: lecturing about role models and permissions.

Despite all COVID-related challenges, we've succeeded in recruiting another renowned IAM expert for our team. Karl-Heinz Huber has been one of the most sought-after specialists in role mining and role modeling for Identity & Access Management projects for over 10 years. His great passion is meticulously analyzing permissions and developing suitable role models. We're extremely proud that Karl-Heinz has joined our IAM team since September 1, 2020, and warmly welcome him.

After studying computer science at Karlsruhe University, Karl-Heinz worked in software development for over 20 years before switching to a Stuttgart-based IT service provider in 2009, beginning his career as a consultant and project manager for Identity & Access Management projects. Through client consulting, he discovered his passion for role mining and role modeling. However, Karl-Heinz quickly realized that analyzing permissions using Excel spreadsheets had insurmountable limitations. Drawing on his extensive experience as a software developer, he began programming algorithms in his free time that could quickly and efficiently analyze large volumes of permission data.

As an in-demand role specialist, he moved to an IT service provider in Bonn in 2013, where he spent the last eight years primarily working on role modeling projects. Over the years, he continuously developed his algorithms into a comprehensive software solution for permission analysis, role mining, role modeling and maintenance. This software was then successfully used in numerous role modeling projects under the name go:Roles.

At Ruhloff & Dauner, Karl-Heinz will continue doing what he loves most. His role will be to expand the consulting focus on role mining and role modeling as a business role specialist. Highly motivated, Karl-Heinz approaches his new position:
