Ruhloff & Dauner auf der it-sa 2024 - englisch

it-sa Expo&Congress 2024 impressively confirmed its role as Europe’s leading trade fair for IT security. With 25,830 professional visitors from 65 countries and 897 exhibiting companies, the event in Nuremberg set new records for both visitor and exhibitor numbers. Compared to the previous year, the trade fair experienced significant growth, highlighting the increasing importance of international exchange on cybersecurity topics.

Spread across four exhibition halls, established providers, international exhibitors, and innovative start-ups presented their solutions and concepts. The exhibition was complemented by an extensive congress and forum program featuring around 400 presentations, panels, and discussions. Topics ranged from technological, regulatory, and strategic issues — including current cyber risks, regulatory requirements such as NIS2, and the organizational anchoring of IT security at the management level. The strong presence of government authorities, industry associations, and political institutions further emphasized the it-sa’s role as a central meeting point for the European IT security community.

Our Visit to it-sa 2024

On October 23, 2024, we attended it-sa in person and were once again impressed by the enormous number of exhibitors and visitors. The trade fair continues to evolve year after year, constantly setting new standards in terms of scale, international reach, and thematic diversity.

For us, the visit to the trade fair was once again worthwhile in every respect. The focus was on personal exchange and numerous exciting conversations about current topics related to Identity & Access Management. We had the opportunity to meet many of our partners and long-time companions, including OpenText, One Identity, cidaas, Airlock, and Asconsit. In addition to familiar faces, we also made valuable new contacts and took away interesting ideas for future projects.

What stood out most for us:

  • The highly relevant presentation on Privileged Access Management (PAM) by One Identity, delivered by Daniel Gordon and Stephan Hausmann, along with an informative discussion on the latest developments in PAM,
  • The engaging conversation with Markus Keller on the timely topic of SAP IdM maintenance ending in 2027 and the Fastlane migration solution by Asconsit.

Conclusion

it-sa 2024 once again demonstrated why it is considered the leading gathering of the European IT security community. In addition to the technical insights, the main highlight for us was the personal exchange with partners, clients, and industry colleagues. The many conversations, new connections, and first-hand insights into current developments in the identity and security space made this year’s visit truly worthwhile. We’re already looking forward to it-sa 2025, which is set to expand by an additional exhibition hall and grow even further in scale.
