Ruhloff & Dauner at it-sa 2025

The it-sa Expo&Congress 2025 once again impressively confirmed its status as one of the leading trade fairs for IT security in Europe. From October 7 to 9, 2025, a total of 28,267 industry professionals from 64 countries gathered at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center to exchange ideas on current challenges, technologies, and solutions in the field of cybersecurity. At the same time, 993 exhibiting companies from all areas of IT security were represented. For the first time, the event was expanded to include an additional exhibition hall, a clear sign of the growing importance of both the trade fair and the entire industry.

it-sa 2025 not only offered an impressive number of exhibitors and attendees but also featured a diverse supporting program: over 400 forum sessions, more than 70 workshops and presentations, as well as the Congress@it-sa, provided space for in-depth discussions, networking, and exploring current trends such as digital resilience, cloud security, governance, and risk management. Additionally, international collaborations, such as the Letter of Intent between NürnbergMesse and the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO), along with joint booths from multiple countries — underlined the event’s increasing international relevance as a platform for global cybersecurity dialogue.

Our Visit to it-sa 2025

Our visit to it-sa was once again a special experience this year. We attended on October 8, and the crowds seemed even larger than last year. With the addition of a new exhibition hall, the overall scale of the event felt significantly expanded.

For us, the main focus was once again on personal interaction, reconnecting with customers, partners, and friends, nurturing existing relationships, gaining fresh inspiration, and engaging in meaningful conversations. That’s exactly why the trade fair was absolutely worth attending again this year. We’d like to highlight a few moments in particular:

On the evening before the event, we were invited to the TD SYNNEX Security Night at the Bootshaus near the exhibition grounds. It was an all-around successful evening in a unique location, featuring a great buffet and many engaging conversations. Many thanks to Luca Hurler, Bojan Arambasic, Andrea Schmidt, and Stefan Bichler for the invitation and the excellent organization.

On the day of the trade fair itself, we initially planned just a brief visit to the One Identity booth. But as often happens, it didn’t stay brief: there was plenty of news about IAM products, and One Identity always shows great interest in the latest developments of our Quick IAM Access App for One Identity. What began as a short chat quickly turned into an in-depth discussion that lasted until lunchtime. Many thanks to Stephan Hausmann, Marco Busse, Peter Feitelson, Serdar Yildirim, and Anja Kieser for the valuable exchange and for the wonderful photo to remember it by.

We were a bit disappointed that OpenText did not have its own booth focused on cybersecurity this year. Nevertheless, it was clear that it-sa still holds great importance for OpenText, as many of their employees were present at the event. Among other things, we had the opportunity to meet in person with Nicole Reichle from the Cybersecurity division and Enno Hoffmann from SkyPro for a joint exchange over lunch.

Another highlight was reconnecting with our partner Asconsit. Especially in the context of the currently high-demand topic of SAP IdM Day One Migration, it was particularly valuable to exchange insights on recent developments and practical experience.

We were also very pleased to meet with Michael Neumayr from KuppingerCole. It's always enriching to engage in conversation with him and hear about many exciting updates.

Conclusion

Once again, it-sa 2025 impressively demonstrated why it is considered the leading meeting point for the IT security community in Europe. For us, the focus was once again on personal exchange with customers, partners, and industry peers, with many engaging conversations and new impulses. We’re already looking forward to it-sa 2026 with great anticipation.
